Clearance Required: Candidate must have an active SECRET clearance to be considered.
Education Required: BS or BA degree. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Eight (8) years of additional acquisition or operational logistics management experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree or Designation as a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) from the International Society of Logistics (SOLE) may be substituted for two (2) years of logistics experience.
Experience Required: Ten (10) years project related experience including four (4) years’ experience supervising and directing the activities of logistics managers in the performance of planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and comprehensive analysis of logistics projects, across the spectrum of ILS elements.
Position Description: Successful candidates will provide analysis of in service and nearing out of production weapon systems in regard to systems logistics current/future state technical requirements and required resources. The logistics analysis support is required to analyze and track current/future systems acquisition requirements, platform sustainment requirements and associated budgetary/financial drivers. Services provided will benefit the National Sustainment Group with key data supporting future National Sustainment Group operation and maintenance financial planning, execution and life cycle cost analysis.
May manage multiple logistics projects and logistics analysts. Responsible for logistic status to the customer and coordination with customer management. Provides acquisition or operational logistics planning and management which demonstrate the ability to perform independent work to provide logistics planning, scheduling, execution and support system effectiveness analysis, studies, and evaluations in support of DoD weapons systems and equipment. Other duties may be assigned.
