Senior Financial Manager

Clearance Required:

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree.
Required Experience: 15 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with specific expertise in the following areas: familiarity with all DoD financial systems and Comptroller Exhibits for R-2s.

Functional Description: The Senior Financial Manager supervises the accomplishment of all financial activities related to programs and projects in compliance with Department of Defense guidelines, rules, and regulations, including budget execution, funds management, financial analysis, and end-of-year closeout activities with support from program managers and financial analysts; prepares budget and programmatic justifications as needed during the planning, programming, budget, and execution cycle; and prepares and delivers briefs and documents as required.  The Senior Financial Manager works with the team to strategically communicate the office’s budget, fiscal outlook across the FYDP, and necessary budget trade-offs; maintains cognizance of various program funds, and provides oversight and coordination of inputs for recurring monthly budget execution meetings; coordinates with upper level offices related to budget/financial taskers and data calls; and coordinates with the Senior Analyst for Program Integration for situational awareness and support financial-related taskers, short notice data calls, and budget queries for leadership and senior executives.
