F/A-18 and EA-18G Flight Plan Operations

Required Education: Journeyman - BA/BS degree.

Required Experience: Journeyman - 3 to 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description.

Desired Experience: 2 years of experience supporting NAVAIR.

Functional Description: Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules. Performs management, technical, or business case analyses.  Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.  Tracks program/project status and schedules.  Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management. This position requires a self-starter who requires limited oversight. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
This position supports the PMA-265 F/A-18 and EA-18G Flight Plan Team at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) in Patuxent River, MD. The selected candidate will support the Functional Team Lead and the Flight Plan Team in the execution of their duties. The selected candidate will provide administrative and operational support for the Team, including creating and managing meetings, including those with Industry and outside Program Offices and other DoD Entities.  The selected candidate be responsible for organizing and coordinating a twice a year Flight Plan Annual Meeting, as well as a periodic Threat Brief.  The selected candidate will have responsibilities to include but not limited to coordinating government/contractor personnel staffing requirements, coordinating responses to data drills including, but not limited to, coordinating and editing the Team’s Roll-up slides on a quarterly basis, coordinating and preparing program briefings and program status reports.  
The selected candidate will need to learn and use new tools both the Enterprise creates, and the Flight Plan Team creates, including the Flight Plan eTool; they will need to learn how to populate, update, create views from, and attach into Powerpoint slides the outputs from a series of tools.  Assists in developing plans including budgets and schedules to meet project requirements for the IPT programs.
 The selected candidate will manage the day-to-day operations across the Team and provide calendar management, and continuity of operations in the absence of the Team Lead. Tasking will include a wide range of program coordination efforts, and the successful candidate must exhibit well-developed verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; analytical skills; attention to detail; organizational skills; ability to assess, apply, and recommend improvements to established business processes; and have the ability to balance priorities in order to work effectively in the fast-paced program office environment. The successful candidate should have familiarity with tracking and monitoring action items; facilitating or leading meetings; and recording minutes. The selected candidate will track and maintain strategic plans pertinent to acquisition life-cycle activities, annually culminating in Program Requirements Reviews (PRR) of POM issue sheets.  This position involves daily interface and coordination with all levels of the IPTs across the program office, including government, contractor, leadership and field activity personnel associated with the program office.

Salary:

The projected salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000; however, this is not a guarantee of salary.  Salary will be set based on experience and contractual requirements.
