Position Description:
The CAD/PAD qualification and certification engineer supports the Program Manager for CAD/PAD with technical and programmatic support of all the CAD/PAD qualification and certification activities. The CAD/PAD qualification and certification engineer is expected to communicate risk and issues to the broader CAD/PAD execution team, provide guidance and training to the working-level team members, and provide recommendations to the CAD/PAD IPT on qualification and certification activities. The CAD/PAD qualification and certification engineering support is expected to perform tasks required for requirements generation, compliance matrices, Systems Engineering Technical Review milestone(s) execution, author and review technical reports, support failure investigations on CAD/PAD devices, support material and component obsolescence issues, evaluate manufacturing capabilities, and have general knowledge of CAD/PAD technical requirements. The CAD/PAD qualification and certification shall travel to organic and industrial base organizations to evaluate capabilities, review and evaluate qualification projects and milestone events, and witness testing that includes ballistic and non-destructive tests. The CAD/PAD qualification and certification engineering support shall also be capable of remotely reviewing technical documentation, to include but not limited to failure investigation documents, failure analysis reports, qualification test, certification data, military specifications, test reports, etc. This support is expected for all service components of the Navy led CAD/PAD Joint Program Office.

Salary:
The projected salary range for this position is $90,000-$140,000; however, this is not a guarantee of salary. Salary will be set based on education, experience and contractual requirements.
