The projected salary range for this full-time position is $72,000 to $100,000; however, this is not a guarantee of salary. Salary will be set based on experience and contractual requirements.

Avionics Engineering Technician

Clearance Required: Eligible for Secret
Education Required: High school graduation or equivalency certification.
Experience:
- 4+ years of progressive responsible avionics engineering technical or maintenance experience in support of military or commercial aircraft.
Desired Experience
- 8+ years’ experience shall have consisted of coordinating with engineering/technical functions with respect to maintenance and/or sustainment of avionics systems, or equivalent
- Prior military aircraft organizational and/or intermediate maintenance, operation, and support with avionics experience, preferably in support of Generation 4 or greater technology.
- Knowledge of and experience with Department of War (DoW) and commercial standards in Avionics and/or electrical design.
- Knowledge of and experience with military operational manuals, and maintenance/sustainment technical publications.
- Strong communications skills with a proactive work ethic.
Position Description:
- Provides essential engineering and technical support for the CH-53K and YCH-53K Engineering Development Model (EDM) aircraft.
- Responsible for maintaining unique prototype aircraft equipped with special modifications and instrumentation as a key part of the government's Test and Evaluation team.
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of CH-53K King Stallion avionics systems, documenting unique repairs and procedures and recommending publication updates for new capabilities and system upgrades under test.
- Collaborate closely with FST and offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the operational readiness of the next generation of heavy-lift helicopters.
