Data Science Test Engineer – Data Visualization  
Key Role:
Provide support to NAVAIR, NAWCAD and NAWCWD projects, including the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) and EA-18G.  Provide customer guidance and support with regards to process design and optimization, large data set management, data set manipulation and processing, and engineering support.  Leverage expertise as derived from prior relevant combined engineering, applied mathematics, and software development experience to deliver sound and defensible data-driven solutions that contribute to the mission.  Communicate effectively the impact of individual and group program contributions to multiple audiences composed of a wide spectrum of technical backgrounds within Government and Industry.  Foster and maintain technical collaborations and relationships with Government and Industry teammates.
Data Visualization Focus:
Provide expertise in the area of Data Visualization as applied to the depiction of Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) mission scenarios.   Synthesize complex visuals as informed from a diverse set of data sources (Aircraft avionics, ground station range systems, ground test facility systems) to succinctly depict solutions to multidisciplinary engineering problems and mission scenarios of relevance to the AEA mission.
Basic Qualifications:
-         2-5 years experience in an engineering, applied mathematics or computer science related discipline that required use of mathematical methods associated with the description and characterization of both deterministic and stochastic systems (Examples are not limited to the list below).  Relevant graduate research may be counted towards the experience requirement.
o    System Dynamics
o    Guidance, Navigation & Control
o    Signal and/or Image Processing
o    Continuum Mechanics & Transport Processes (i.e. Electromagnetics, Fluid, Thermal, Structural, etc.)     
o    Design of Experiments & Numerical Optimization
o    Operations Research & Statistics
-         2+ years experience in at least one of the following programming languages in the context of delivering a documented, tested and maintainable software deliverable (MATLAB/Python Preferred): MATLAB/Simulink, Python, Java, C, C++.   
-         BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.  (BS degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, or any STEM field with an inherent mathematical or statistical element may also be considered, so long as the Candidate’s prior experience, mathematical background and programming experience reflects the needs conveyed in the above two requirements).
-         Ability to obtain a US DoD Secret Clearance
Additional Qualifications:
-         Proficiency in one (or more) functional and one (or more) object-oriented programming language as described above.
-         Experience with use of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) using Structured Query Language (SQL) based database systems (MS Access, MySQL preferred)
-         Experience with the use of Non-Relational (“NoSQL”) Database Systems (MongoDB preferred)
-         Experience in the design and/or implementation of Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems, computer networks, and/or aircraft avionics systems, software and hardware.
-         Experience in the design and/or empirical characterization of Radar, Communications, or other system(s) with similar electromagnetic governing principles.
-         Experience in working with a US Navy, US Marine Corps, or other US DoD client.
-         Currently holds US DoD Secret Clearance
