Critical Item Management (CIM) Engineer: Provide analyses and recommendations regarding Operations and Maintenance of aviation components whose consequence of failure involves catastrophic
or critical safety mishaps or mission performance implications. Actions can range from identification of critical parts, evaluation and approval techniques for manufacturers of critical items and their supply chain, identification and analysis of suspect parts, evaluation or development of technical data guidelines, recommendations for acquisition controls, engineering support assistance to the DoD supply and contract management communities, assessments of manufacturing and in-service problems, quality assurance practices and other similar activities.
Education:  Position requires a BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline. 
Experience:  At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to the labor category “Description” is required.   Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise is required.
