Physical Security Specialist for E-2 / C-2 ITT, VX-20
Description: 
Physical Security Specialist to support test personnel within the VX-20 Hawkeye / Greyhound Integrated Test Team (ITT) facility (Building 2895).  The ITT is located on board Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD.  The position requires a thorough knowledge of command security practices and procedures as described below.  The ideal candidate has sufficient maturity and experience to work independently with little to no supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
- Provide support to the ITT Platform Coordinator regarding:  Program Information Security, Personnel Security, Industrial Security, Technology Protection, Acquisition Security, and Operational Security.  Work as the designated ITT Physical Security Coordinator in coordination with the Program Security Manager (PSM) for PMA-231.
- The Contractor shall provide support with the preparation and maintenance of classified and unclassified documentation. 
- The Contractor shall support protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) through guidance and training with emphasis on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), document protection using distribution statements, and email encryption.
- The Contractor shall support protection of Classified Military Information (CMI) through markings and storage containers to include inventories of information.  
- Receive, handle, store, and dispose of classified material/equipment in accordance with local command and Navy guidelines.
- Prepare classified material for transfer or shipment in accordance with applicable guidelines.
- Review/Update declassification guides as needed.
- Process visit requests from contractor facilities and other government agencies.
- Opening/Closing of classified areas within facility and completing clearance verification for visitors.
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly walk through of area's to ensure no violations of security trends within facility.
- Operate the Visitor Control Center which includes the following tasks: managing visitor logs, badge issuance, monitoring the Electronic Security System control console, preparing correspondence, and maintain records and file system
- The Contractor shall provide security awareness training plus support in updating security training briefs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the facility.  
- Administratively manage the SIPRNET work terminal and associated spaces per all applicable instructions.
- Maintain secure areas, security containers, schedule burn runs, and assist with the resolution of program security violations.
- The Contractor shall provide support with multiple security disciplines to include information, personnel, industrial, operations, physical, communications, and acquisition.
- The Contractor shall provide support in resolving security issues or questions from personnel within facility.
- The Contractor shall utilize Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) to validate visitor authorization and managing appropriate access control for users and reducing outdated personnel clearances.
- Processing initial/modification for individual SAAR-N forms within facility.
- Maintain copies of all DD-254's for within facility.
- Update and maintain physical inspection checklists which are required by DoD, SCI and/or SAP physical security and TEMPEST requirements.
- Represent the government in the conduct of security reviews and staff assistance visits at government and industry locations applying regulatory directives to ensure the location being reviewed is in compliance.
- The contractor shall have excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and instructional abilities. 
- The contractor shall have demonstrated experience in applying policies and procedures IAW DoD physical security and Antiterrorism regulations and instructions.
- Testing contingency plans for data breaches.
