Data Division DEAL, (Data Engineer and Analysis Liaison)

Clearance Required: 
Active Secret 

Desired Functions: Data Engineer and Analysis Liaison, Computer/Data Scientist, System Analyst, or Engineer, Junior level. 

Works for the Data Division under the NAVAIR Mission Systems Test and Evaluation Department (MSTED), gathering, collating, formatting, filtering, analyzing, reporting, and storing flight test related data sets.  Analysis tool development.

Computer Scientist/Junior Level:
Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software.

Data Scientist/Junior Level: 
Identifying the methods, processes, algorithms, tools, and systems to extract and interpret findings from varied structured and unstructured data sets related to the data science lifecycle. Work also involves the development of algorithms and/or tools to support data manipulation and processing as well as the use of data visualization techniques to articulate findings. The primary requirements of the work are applying
professional knowledge of computer science and mathematical and statistical theories, techniques, and methods to gather, analyze, design and construct new processes for modeling, interpret, and/or report quantitative information, trends, relationships and
correlations among or within data sets.

System Analyst/Junior Level:
Applies knowledge of analytical methodologies, management principles, hardware and software systems structures and operation, and aircraft systems or requirements to solve project problems. Addresses scientific, engineering or business objectives and interfaces with project teams to address project objectives. Independently uses mathematical and programmatic approaches to define, plan, organize, design, develop, modify, test, and integrate systems.
Directly researches unconventional applications for designing and developing new methodologies, modifications, or adaptations of standardized techniques. Directly develops project plans, guidelines, and controls. May manage and supervise contractor personnel providing this function.

Engineer/Junior Level: 
Perform engineering duties in designing, constructing, and testing aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft. May conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft design and manufacture. May recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques. Salary:
The projected salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000; however, this is not a guarantee of salary.  Salary will be set based on experience and contractual requirements.
